Kota Kinabalu: A 77-year-old woman died after her Proton Saga crashed into a lamp post at 7pm along Jalan Bertingkat Karamunsing on Tuesday.

She is believed to have suffered a heart attack while driving. Wong Fung Kuen (Helen), was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics who arrived at about 7.10pm.

Family members rushed to the scene after being alerted. The victim, who resided at Taman Luyang, operated a popular eatery in Bundusan.

City police, Insp Puan See and SM Morni were at the scene to investigate.
