Tenom: Graduates of the KPD-Oisca Youth Training Centre have been urged to broaden their horizons and embrace agriculture as a career to ensure the continued growth of Sabah’s agricultural sector, said State Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Jamawi Jaafar.
“If there is uncultivated land in your home villages, strengthen your resolve to become pioneers and young agropreneurs by putting the knowledge and skills you have acquired into practice. Do not be ashamed to be a farmer,” he said when officiating the 42nd Convocation Ceremony of the Tenom KPD-Oisca Youth Training Centre at its multipurpose hall on Friday.
Jamawi, who is also Melalap Assemblyman, said the ceremony marked an important milestone for graduates who had completed 16 months of training in various agricultural disciplines.
He also expressed appreciation to parents and families for their sacrifices and unwavering support in shaping the younger generation into productive citizens.
