MATUNGGONG: Gender equality must be integrated into governance and development planning at all levels to ensure policies are fair, inclusive, and effective.
Women, Health and People’s Wellbeing (KWKKR) Minister Datuk Julita Majungki said that promoting gender equality is no longer optional but a necessity for equitable and sustainable development.
“Gender equality does not mean treating everything the same. It means ensuring that every individual, whether male or female, is given equal space and opportunity to contribute according to their abilities and potential,” she said.
Julita said this when closing the Gender Awareness Programme: GENDERasi Harmoni – Moving Together for Equality here on Friday.
