6,000 UUC residents hit by water supply disruption
This water supply issue has become critical, especially for residents with young children, as water is a basic necessity alongside electricity.
Kota Kinabalu: Some 6,000 residents at University Utama Condominium (UUC) Telipok were hit by water shortage the past two days.

One resident, who has been living in the neighbourhood since 2016, said the supply was cut off around 9am on Friday and water rationing was implemented daily with scheduled notices.

She lamented that the residents had to endure more than 24 hours without water before water tankers arrived.

“We couldn’t cook, couldn’t clean, couldn’t even bathe,” she said when met during an intervention session between the residents and the UUC management, Saturday.
