SIPITANG: Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation (SOGDC) chairman Datuk Shahelmey Yahya led a working visit to the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (Sogip) on Wednesday to assess downstream industry developments.
The site visit included briefings and inspections of several key projects and facilities involving E-Steel, MOLF, Petronas Chemicals Fertiliser Sabah Sdn Bhd (SAMUR), Petronas ZLNG/PFLNG 3, Sipitang Utilities Sdn Bhd and the Sogip Port.

In a
Facebook post, Shahelmey said the visit allowed him to observe the growth and progress of downstream industrial activities at Sogip.
He said the developments also pointed to further potential that could be expanded with greater participation by Sabahans.
The visit was aimed at assessing industry growth and identifying new opportunities aligned with the implementation of Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 to ensure sustained benefits to the local economy.
