The residents’ concerns were voiced through local community representatives who earlier on brought the issue to the attention of the area leadership, to seek for further action.
The matter received the attention it needed when two state leaders conducted a site visit to assess the level of safety and the need for infrastructure improvements for the well-being of the local residents.
On Saturday morning, Assistant Minister of Finance and Bingkor State Assemblyman, Dato’ Mohd Ishak Datuk Ayub, together with Assistant Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and Tulid Assemblyman, Jordan Jude Ellron, went to inspect the bridge.
The inspection aimed to obtain a first-hand impression of the safety level of the bridge, which is the main route for the villagers, in addition to identifying the immediate need for maintenance or upgrading work.
