Two lock-in car incidents 
KENINGAU: The Keningau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) resolved two separate vehicle lock-in cases, Monday.

BBP Chief Severinus @ Mohd Nidzam Sainkui said the first incident occurred at around 9.30pm in front of One Stop Store, involving a Proton Saga VVT locked from the inside.

An EMRS team was dispatched promptly and used specialised equipment to open the vehicle without causing any damage.

Earlier on the same day, at 7.35pm, a second call was received for another Proton Saga locked in front of Warehouse 11.

Three personnel and an EMRS unit were immediately sent, arriving at 7.38pm, and the vehicle was successfully opened at 7.42pm.

Severinus @ Mohd Nidzam Sainkui said both incidents were routine, with no major emergencies or damage reported, and standard procedures were followed while vehicle owners waited nearby.

He reminded the public to always keep car keys with them and avoid leaving children or pets inside vehicles.

The public is also advised to contact 999 if a vehicle becomes locked to ensure prompt assistance.
