He said that Pasar Sin On is one of Tawau’s main markets, attracting a large number of visitors daily, and said improving parking facilities is crucial to meet public demand.
However, he said that temporary parking shortages are expected while the project is ongoing.
Philip urged the public to be patient, saying good facilities take time to complete, and expressed hope that the upgrade will be finished as planned, offering a safer, more orderly, and comfortable experience for both visitors and traders.
He added that the improved infrastructure will make it easier for people to conduct their business at the market.
Meanwhile, he expressed gratitude to Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming for federal funding that has made the project possible for the benefit of the public.
