Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno Chairman Datuk Jafry Ariffin expressed gratitude to voters for their continued confidence in the Barisan Nasional (BN) to represent them in the Dewan Rakyat and the State Legislative Assembly.
“The solid support from the people for the BN candidates proves that strategic political cooperation can build a strong and effective wave of support,” he said in a statement, Sunday.

He dismissed opposition attempts to portray the BN as a peninsula-based party, noting that the coalition’s collaboration with local parties has formed a stable State Government and strengthened public confidence in the BN.
He described the victories as significant benchmarks demonstrating that voter support in both Kinabatangan and Lamag remains firmly with the BN.
“Sabah Umno, as the backbone of the BN in the State, will ensure that both elected representatives fulfil their mandate and responsibilities in the best interest and welfare of the people in their respective constituencies,” he said.
He extended appreciation to key leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister cum Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Sabah Chief Minister cum Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He also thanked the Umno and BN machinery in Sabah, GRS supporters and all component parties of the Sabah Unity Government, including Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Upko for their important roles in securing the victory.
