KOTA KINABALU: Cooperation between PBS and Star remains relevant but should not emerge only when elections approach, said acting PBS president Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam (

He said political cooperation between parties must be consistent from the outset and not be formed merely to serve short-term political interests.

Joachim also said PBS, now in its 41st year since its establishment in 1985, has faced numerous challenges but continues to remain relevant in Sabah’s political landscape.
He said the party would continue strengthening its grassroots support and focus on issues affecting Sabah, including the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), infrastructure development and social welfare.
He also said PBS will hold party elections this year, beginning at the branch level before proceeding to divisional contests and culminating with the annual delegates conference expected in September.
