KOTA KINABALU: The Coroner’s Court expressed concern that SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha may have withheld documents in the inquest into Zara Qairina Mahathir’s death.
Counsel Joan Goh said Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan noted that teachers appeared to withhold key exhibits, which were only gradually submitted during proceedings.

A student recalled to testify revealed two handwritten notes from Zara, one apologizing for jealousy and another expressing affection, later tendered as evidence.
Another child deponent described witnessing Zara being confronted by seniors over a missing wallet.
Goh added her team may re-call their client’s mother to testify regarding prior conflicts between Zara and the family.
The inquest is set to continue on Monday.
