NGOs urged to adopt evidence-based, collaborative approaches
Sabah Women, Health and People’s Wellbeing Permanent Secretary Datuk Maria Chong and Sabah Welfare Services Director Jais Asri joined speakers and participants of the Social Services Networking Forum 2025, alongside UMS-UNICEF C4D head Dr. Latif Lai, MPMS Executive Secretary Joeanne Lee and UNICEF Programme Specialist Dr. Elaine Kong.
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Government has called on NGOs and welfare groups to shift toward evidence-based, collaborative programmes to improve impact and ensure long-term financial sustainability.

Permanent Secretary Datuk Maria Chong said many organisations still rely on limited traditional funding and struggle with trust and transparency, making it harder to secure support.
