TENOM: A Mitsubishi Pajero Wagon 4x4 was destroyed in a vehicle fire along the Tenom–Sipitang road at Bukit Layang-Layang on Thursday morning, though no injuries were reported.

The Fire and Rescue Department received the call at 9.17am and a seven-member team from BBP Tenom arrived about 30 minutes later, bringing the blaze under control by 10.10am using a hose line from the fire engine.

Firefighters carried out safety checks at the scene before ending the operation at 10.22am, with no further hazards detected.
