“The individuals said they were acting on the orders of the Tan Sri,” he said.
He claimed that the staff were threatened and that they would be locked up inside the premises if they refused to vacate.
Fearing for their safety, the staff complied and left. The individuals then proceeded to change four padlocks on the premises without authorisation from the management.
The manager claimed the action has completely locked out the legitimate operators, causing a serious disruption to daily business operations and resulting in losses.
“The actions of the individuals have denied our right to control and use a business premises that is legal under the law,” he said.
He sought police help to investigate and arrest those involved, including the mastermind and to obtain police permission to engage a locksmith to regain access to the premises.
“We are a business with a valid moneylender licence and business registration. We will give full cooperation to the police.
“I am prepared to submit supporting documents, including CCTV footage and staff statements, to aid the investigation,” he said.
