New Scenic CEO eyes stronger execution for Sabah’s creative economy
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre (Scenic) has appointed Mohd Lan Muslim (pic) as its new chief executive officer (CEO), signalling a consolidation phase as the agency sharpens its role in Sabah’s growing creative economy.

Mohd Lan said his immediate focus is to position Scenic as a practical enabler of creative and innovation initiatives, aligned with the mandate of the Sabah Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (Mestis).

He pointed to the first Creative Economy Summit held in Sabah in April as a milestone that brought together industry players, government agencies and educational institutions to strengthen collaboration and highlight local potential.
