SOOK: A 46-year-old man suffered burn injuries after a fire razed his house at Kampung Batu Lunguyan in Sook at about 8.30pm on Sunday.
The victim, who is the homeowner, sustained burns to his shoulder and was taken by members of the public to Klinik Tulid Sook before the Fire and Rescue Department arrived.

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Control Centre said it received an emergency call via the NG999 line at 8.54pm.
Firefighters reached the location at 9.30pm after travelling 31 kilometres from the nearest station and found a semi-permanent house measuring 30 by 50 square feet completely destroyed.
A Perodua Kancil car and two Honda motorcycles were also destroyed in the blaze, which was brought under control at 9.45pm using a 200-foot hose line from the fire engine.
