KOTA KINABALU: A Proton Waja was destroyed in a car fire near an auto parts shop along Jalan Sepanggar on Saturday evening, with firefighters receiving the call at 6.43pm and arriving within 14 minutes.

Fire and Rescue Department personnel from Lintas deployed two hose lines to bring the blaze under control by 7.20pm before concluding operations shortly after, according to the incident commander.

No injuries were reported, and the operation was ended after checks confirmed there was no further danger at the scene.
