LAHAD DATU: Police seized four motorcycles and issued 13 summonses in Ops Samseng Jalanan carried out in several hotspot areas around town on Christmas Eve.

District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said two foreigners were also detained during the operation for not having valid identification documents and riding a motorcycle without a licence.

He said the operation by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, with Special Branch, Narcotic Division, Crime Investigation Division and Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division, as well as Police Station under the Lahad Datu Police Headquarters, led by Insp. Mohd Riduan Abdullah@Mustaffa, saw four motorcycles seized under Section 64 of the Road Transport Act 1987 and 13 summonses for various traffic offences,” he said.

Dzulbaharin said police will not compromise with street thugs and enforcement action will be carried out consistently for the safety of the road users.
