KOTA KINABALU: Two separate road accidents were reported on Christmas Day in Sabah, leaving six people injured in Tuaran and Papar.
In the first incident, reported at 2.18am, a Perodua Ativa skidded off Jalan Berungis, Tuaran, and plunged into a drain.

Firefighters arrived within nine minutes and found five male victims injured.
Aged between 19 and 30, they were rescued using stretchers, given initial treatment and later handed over to ambulances for further treatment at the hospital. The operation ended at 2.44am.
Earlier, at 1.51am, another accident occurred along Jalan Kampung Kawari, Papar, involving a Yamaha Y15 motorcycle that skidded off the road into a drain.
A 36-year-old man who sustained injuries was given initial treatment by EMRS firefighters and transported to hospital. The operation concluded at 2.23am.
Both incidents were classified as self-skidding accidents and were brought under control after firefighters ensured the scenes were safe.
