SANDAKAN: A 24-year-old local man driving a four-wheel drive and his passenger suffered minor injuries after their vehicle crashed along Jalan Sim-Sim at about 4.30pm on Monday.

District police chief ACP George Abd Rakman said initial investigations found the driver lost control on reaching the scene, hitting concrete and plastic barriers on the left side of the road before plunging into a culvert.

Both victims were treated at Duchess of Kent Hospital, while police advised motorists to remain cautious and observe traffic rules to prevent similar incidents.
