KK police advise early planning for Christmas
KOTA KINABALU: Kota Kinabalu police have advised the public to plan ahead for the 2025 Christmas celebrations, especially those leaving their homes to return to their villages.

Cit police chief, ACP Kasim Muda, urged residents to fill out the “Balik Kampung” form via the Volunteer Smart Patrol (VSP) app or visit the nearest police station.

“This allows us to monitor vacant homes and prevent crimes, particularly burglaries,” he said.

He also highlighted road closures around Padang Merdeka, the venue for the state-level Christmas events from December 16 to 19, and recommended motorists to park at Kampung Air and Gaya Street to reduce congestion.
