KOTA KINABALU: A man in his late 30s has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a group of madrasah students, an incident captured on both CCTV and a viral social media video.
The attack reportedly took place on Sunday (14 Dec) at around 11:55 pm at a local business premise.

Footage shows the man kicking and hitting the children with a motorcycle helmet.
The Kota Kinabalu District Police are investigating the case under Section 324 of the Penal Code and Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
District Police Chief, ACP Kasim Muda called on the public to avoid speculation and respect the privacy of those involved.
“Members of the public are advised not to speculate and to respect the privacy of all parties involved.
"Anyone with information is urged to assist the investigation by contacting the nearest police station,” he said.
