Show our support for Sabah FC

Kota Kinabalu: All Sabahans especially the youth are urged to support the State football team as they prepare for the FA Cup final against Johor Darul Ta’zim FC at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Bukit Jalil this Sunday.

Sabah Youth Council (MBS) president Abqaree Fawwaz who made the call on Friday said the historic moment has given the best opportunity for Sabahans to show solidarity and rally behind the State team.

“The team are now one step away from bringing home the Cup and this is more than a football match. This is a match of dignity, identity and pride of the people of Sabah.

“We have been waiting 27 years for this moment. We at MBS urge all youth, wherever they are, to wave the State flag, wear the colours of Sabah to show unity and support for Sabah FC,” he said.

“With the enthusiasm and strong support of the people of Sabah, I am confident that Sabah FC can create history this Sunday,” he added.

He also called on the fans to maintain discipline and be responsible whether they are in the stadium or at public viewing locations.

Meanwhile, a delegation from the council led by Abqaree paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development and Creative Economy Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan at his office recently.
