Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Mohamad Razy Hafizul Mohamad captured a silver medal for the country in the 400m T20 category at the 17th Fazza International Para Athletics Championship (Dubai 2026 World Para Athletics Grand Prix) in Dubai recently.
He crossed the finishing line in 51.06 seconds (s), placing him just behind Japanese winner Kuma Watanabe who clocked 50.45s for the gold, and in third place was Abdul Majeed Ghafiri with a time of 52.34s.

Two other athletes from Sabah also made their mark at the championship featuring over 500 athletes from 56 nations.
Eljoe Goutoh competed in the long jump T13/T20 category, narrowly missing a podium finish with a jump of 6.54 metres, which earned him fourth place (794 points).
Meanwhile, Heronlee Wong participated in the discus throw F36/F37 category, finishing sixth with a throw of 6.27 metres (481 points).
