PITAS: A permanent hostel building at SK Pinapak in Pitas was destroyed in an 8am blaze on Friday.
Pitas Fire and Rescue chief Noor Jali Maslah said no students were hurt as all were in class during the incident.
Seven firefighters led by PBK I Farro Ryson Gusar, along with a fire engine and tanker, rushed 28 km to the scene after receiving an 8.13am alert.
They took about 10 minutes to put out the fire upon arriving at 8.48am, bringing it under control by 8.58am.
