KOTA KINABALU: A Chinese tourist in her 30s died after reportedly falling from the ninth floor of a hotel here on Sunday morning, Info X reported.

She was found unconscious on a vehicle parked below the building, where she had been holidaying with her husband.

Kota Kinabalu Deputy Police Chief Superintendent Syed Lot Syed Ab Rahman said officers were alerted to the incident at about 7am and were deployed to the scene.

He said initial checks confirmed the woman had died, adding that her body was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital I and the case is currently classified as a Sudden Death Report.
