Kota Kinabalu: In the spirit of the Christmas season, a community toy donation drive has been launched to bring joy to underprivileged children across Sabah.
The campaign, which began in November, is hosted at Hilton Kota Kinabalu, where members of the public can drop brand-new toys into a collection box in the hotel lobby.

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA) and Kupi-Kupi FM, strengthening community ties and widening outreach.
The toys collected will be distributed first to the Ronald McDonald House at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Likas on December 20, 2025, followed by selected orphanages in January 2026. Organisers said the specific homes will be confirmed closer to the date.
Hilton Kota Kinabalu, which started the drive last year, emphasised its commitment to continuing the tradition.
“It’s about giving back and making sure every child feels remembered during the festive season. The toys will be distributed to children aged between three and 12 years old,” a spokesperson said.
Organisers hope the public will support the effort by contributing toys, ensuring underprivileged children across Sabah experience the joy of receiving gifts during the holidays.
