LAHAD DATU: Three children were among five victims who suffered minor injuries in an accident involving a Toyota Hilux and Perodua Aruz at Jalan Segama, here, Sunday.
District Fire and Rescue station chief, Sumsoa Rashid, said his department received a distress call following the incident at 2.57pm.

A team of nine Fire and Rescue personnel was deployed to the scene in a machinery and EMRS vehicle. The commander of the operation reported that a Toyota Hilux had collided head on with a Perodua Aruz with seven victims involved.
All seven victims had managed to exit their vehicles on their own before the team’s arrival.
Five people comprising a woman and two children from Perodua Aruz and a woman as well as a girl from Toyota Hilux suffered minor injuries in the incident.
The Fire and Rescue team provided initial treatment before taking all the victims to the hospital for further treatment.
The operation ended at 4.05pm after the team made sure there was no other danger at the scene.
