Special needs kids hike Kolindasan hill

TAMBUNAN: A group of 40 special education students from SK Pekan conquered the 1,130-meter-high Kolindasan hill located in Kampung Sunsuron, here.

The program, organised by the Special Education Integration Class (PPKI) of SK Pekan, was accompanied by teachers, student management assistants (PPM) and their parents.

Leader of the group, Helin Ajak @ Salmiah, said it aimed to provide information to students with special needs (MBK) about activities outside the classroom as well as fostering a positive attitude and love for the environment.

“The selection of Kolindasan Hill as the adventure location was based on its suitability for all ages. At 1,130 meters above sea level, this hill is equipped with basic facilities such as a spacious parking lot, a water source and a toilet at the top.
