Shafie’s contempt hearing rescheduled to Dec 18
KOTA KINABALU: The contempt of court hearing involving Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal (pic) over alleged remarks linked to the inquest into the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir has been rescheduled to Dec 18 for mention.

The matter, which was initially fixed for hearing on Monday before Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan, also involves Che Muna Din, better known as Mona Din, who faces the same allegation.

The new date follows a request letter submitted by Shafie’s counsel on Nov 21, with both cases now set to be heard together.

According to the Attorney General’s Chambers, committal proceeding documents were served on Shafie in Tawau on Nov 3 and on Mona Din at her Shah Alam residence on Nov 1, following leave granted by the court on Oct 23.
