LAHAD DATU: Close cooperation between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) is expected to deliver a strong victory in the N61 Segama constituency.
PH candidate Romansa Lamin said that such cooperation is not something that can be realised easily without commitment, solidarity and a big-hearted spirit from all parties, particularly GRS Segama led by Ir Rajesh Mohd Yusof.
Romansa said the collaboration was driven by openness and a shared objective of bringing progress to the Segama area.
“Starting today, we will strengthen our cooperation and move in tandem with the grassroots leadership of GRS. We will meet and discuss our campaign activities together,” he said when met at the ‘Candidate with Local Community Leaders for N61 Segama’ programme.
During the programme, Romansa, together with party machinery and the heads of the District Polling Centres (PDM), met with grassroots leaders across the Segama area.
According to Romansa, differences in approach, strategy and machinery operations between the two parties do not hinder their ability to move forward together.
However, both sides are adopting a people-centred formula in which the welfare and interests of the public remain the priority.
“In the end, the formula is about prioritising the protection and wellbeing of the people, for a better and more secure future for the constituents of N61 Segama,” he added.
Earlier in his speech, Romansa also said that the cooperation will continue until the end of the State Election (PRN).
He added that if this partnership succeeds in winning Segama, both sides will discuss and coordinate the next course of action. Efa Rizan and Azmie Lim
