LAHAD DATU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s (GRS) Tungku candidate Datuk Abdul Hakim Gulam Hassan says he remains calm and focused on meeting voters despite high-profile figures appearing on his opponents’ campaign trails.
He said every party has its own style during elections, but ultimately the public will decide who they want to represent them.

Abdul Hakim added that he prefers a personal approach through walkabouts, house visits and small community events, which he believes allow for more genuine conversations compared to large gatherings.
He said the warm response from residents during a friendly gathering hosted by the Segama division committee on Tuesday night has encouraged him to continue listening closely to local concerns.
Abdul Hakim, who is in a seven-cornered contest for the seat previously held by Warisan’s Assaffal P Alian, said many voters value GRS’s ongoing efforts to support development and community wellbeing.
