KOTA BELUD: Tempasuk Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) chief Datuk Mohd Arsad Bistari has welcomed 100 new members from Mukim Rosok, strengthening the party’s grassroots support ahead of the 17th Sabah Election.
Arsad said the latest membership boost reflected growing public acceptance of the policies introduced under Gagasan Rakyat President Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s administration over the past five years.
“The entry of new members from Mukim Rosok into Tempasuk PGRS is a clear sign of the people’s confidence in Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s policies throughout these five years,” he said.
Arsad, who is defending the Tempasuk seat, urged voters in Sabah—particularly in his constituency—to prioritise political stability when casting their ballots on 29 November.
“I call on voters in Sabah, especially in Tempasuk, to place political stability at the centre of their decision-making because GRS is the platform that best fulfils this need,” he said, adding that the coalition under Hajiji remained committed to uniting leaders for the State’s long-term benefit.
He stressed that the stability achieved had enabled Sabahans to benefit from better economic spillovers, even as some component parties previously held no state seats.
The 100 Rosok residents formally joined Gagasan Rakyat during a membership handover ceremony at the party’s Rosok polling district centre on Saturday.
The event was also attended by Tempasuk Gagasan Rakyat deputy chief and former Tempasuk assemblyperson, Datuk Musbah Jamli.
