TAWAU: Police arrested a 39-year-old local man wanted for an armed robbery case in Cheras, Selangor, during an operation at Tawau Airport on Friday.

District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said checks revealed the suspect was involved in a 2014 armed gang robbery under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code and had several previous serious criminal records, including one under Section 302.

He said the suspect is being held for further investigation, adding that swift action was made possible through public tip-offs, ensuring public safety and order.
