SANDAKAN: The Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah (PPRS) has reaffirmed that its struggle is not confined to any single race, religion, or region, but represents all people of Sabah without exception.
Its President, Datuk Seri Mohd Arshad Abdul Mualap, said the party upholds the principle that political struggles must reflect the true reality of Sabah, a state where diverse ethnic and religious communities live harmoniously.
“Our struggle is clear. PPRS is not a party for one particular group, but for all Sabahans. Every voice, every faith, and every culture has a place in our movement,” he said.
He urged the media and the public to understand the party’s direction, which promotes unity rather than division, stressing that only through solidarity and mutual respect can Sabah stand with dignity.
Mohd Arshad also confirmed that PPRS will contest in the upcoming Sabah State Election as a local party, independent of any political coalition.
He said the decision reflects the party’s belief that Sabah’s future should be determined by its own people, free from external influence.
“We are not against anyone, but we stand for the people to bring about change founded on honesty, unity, and the dignity of our state,” he said.
PPRS also reiterated its commitment to strengthening unity among Sabah’s multi-ethnic and multi-religious communities while rejecting any form of divisive or narrow-interest politics.
Ahead of the state election, the party plans to introduce several key initiatives, including empowering the people’s economy, enhancing education, balancing urban and rural development, and ensuring transparent and accountable governance.
Mohd Arshad emphasised that PPRS is more than just a political party, it is a movement by the people of Sabah to chart their own course toward a prosperous and united state.
