KOTA KINABALU: The ongoing negotiations on Sabah’s rights with the Federal Government have become more realistic and structured, reflecting measurable progress rather than mere rhetoric, said Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) secretary-general Datuk Mohamed Razali Mohamed Razi (

In a
Facebook post on Thursday, he said the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Government had brought 11 key Sabah demands to the official negotiation table, many of which had been recognised and implemented in stages.
Among the major achievements were the state’s control over gas and energy, SMJ Energy’s 25 per cent stake in Petronas PFLNG3, review of the petroleum revenue-sharing formula, adjustment of the special grant rate, and decentralisation of federal powers.
Razali said these developments mark Sabah’s shift from political posturing to a results-driven phase, ensuring that the negotiations are documented and irreversible.
He added that GRS’s approach focuses less on drama and more on tangible outcomes that strengthen Sabah’s autonomy, economy, and administrative capacity.
