KOTA BELUD: A 92-year-old man who went missing after heading to his farm was found dead by villagers near a river in Kampung Sogo Narinang on Friday morning.

The victim, identified as Sami Biu, left his home at 8am on Thursday but failed to return by evening, prompting his family to lodge a report and sparking a search-and-rescue operation led by the Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Department.

He was discovered at 7.43am, about 19 kilometres from his house, and later handed over to the police for further action, with the operation officially called off at 8.54am.
