Kota Kinabalu: Istana Seri Kinabalu has firmly denied claims circulating on social media linking the Sabah Governor’s family to the recent death of a Form One student at SM Tun Datu Mustapha.
Liaison Secretary to the Head of State, Datuk Abdulah Hussin, said on Thursday that the allegation is baseless, irresponsible, and defamatory to the Head of State’s family.

He urged the public not to spread unverified and slanderous information that could harm reputations.
The police investigation paper has been forwarded by Sabah Police Headquarters to Bukit Aman for further review before being submitted to the Attorney General’s Chambers.
Abdulah also reminded the public that sharing false information may be subject to legal action under existing laws, including the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
