Kota Kinabalu: Both the Duchess of Kent (HDOK) in Sandakan and Tawau Hospital will be upgraded similar to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), said Health Minister Datuk Khairy Jamaluddin. He said these three hospitals would become Specialist Major Hospitals with the number of specialist services increased to 49. Presently, QEH provides 44 specialist services, while 18 at HDOK and Tawau Hospital, 15.
So you will have three state-level hospitals in Sabah under 12th and 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK12 and RMK13).
