LABUAN: While it is good to know that the new Australian Foreign Minister has not forgotten her roots, the recent “homecoming” by Penny Wong can also be described as “disappointing”.This is the view of a relative of Datuk Peter Mojuntin who was among the 11 people who were killed in the June 6 1976 Nomad air crash which Penny had promised to address during her visit to Sabah recently.
George Elias said: “We were happy when we read that she was aware of Sabahans’ concern over the non-disclosure of the Australian findings on the tragedy, but disappointed that she slipped out quietly without honouring her promise.
