Kota Kinabalu: The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sabah Branch has welcomed the appointment of Datuk Zainudin Aman as the new Sabah State Secretary, effective June 29.

(pic) described the appointment as an important milestone for the State Civil Service and expressed confidence in Datuk Zainudin's leadership, experience and commitment to public service.

He said IEM Sabah looked forward to continued collaboration with the State Government in advancing key development areas, including infrastructure, water supply, flood mitigation, transportation, energy security, digitalisation and sustainable development.
Tan said strong institutions and capable leadership were essential for Sabah's continued progress, adding that the State was well-positioned to advance its development agenda and enhance the wellbeing of its people.
He also recorded the branch's appreciation to Datuk Seri Safar Untong for his service as State Secretary since 2019 and congratulated him on his appointment as Chairman of Tanjung Aru Eco Development Sdn Bhd (TAED).
