Kota Kinabalu: The State Government has approved the appointment of Datuk Zainudin Aman (
pic) as State Secretary, effective June 29.
Zainudin, who is also the Director-General of the Sabah State Public Service, will succeed Datuk Seri Safar Untong, whose term ends on June 28.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the appointment is expected to further strengthen the Sabah State Public Service and enhance its competitiveness in driving the state’s administrative transformation towards sustained progress and excellence.
He said the move would also help ensure the effective implementation of government policies for the benefit of the people and the state.
Hajiji also expressed appreciation to Safar for his service, dedication, professionalism and integrity since assuming the post in 2019, adding that he was appointed Chairman of Tanjung Aru Eco Development Sdn Bhd (Taed), a government-linked company under the Chief Minister’s Department, effective June 1.
