KUDAT: The Malaysia Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA) Sabah Chapter brought 24 tourism industry representatives to explore Kudat’s tourism resources, unique attractions and development potential.

Supported by the Sabah Tourism Board (STB), the May 20-22 programme aimed to strengthen industry engagement, encourage tourism product development and enhance the promotion of Kudat as an emerging tourism destination.

Through site visits, stakeholder engagements and industry exchanges, participants gained valuable first-hand insights into the destination, creating opportunities for future tourism product development, tourism packaging and collaborative marketing initiatives.

Participants visited accommodation facilities, marine tourism products, cultural and heritage attractions, community-based tourism initiatives and local tourism-related businesses.

Cosmobeauté Malaysia and beautyexpo will expand into East Malaysia with the launch of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from May 25 to 26.
These visits enabled industry players to assess tourism products for potential inclusion in domestic and international travel packages, while identifying opportunities to enhance visitor experiences, destination positioning and market readiness.

As part of MCTA Sabah Chapter’s broader destination promotion efforts, Kudat tourism products and experiences will also be introduced during ITE Hong Kong 2026 to create greater international awareness and explore future business opportunities within key tourism markets.
