Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Big Bikers Association (SBBA) aims to play a larger role in promoting Sabah as a tourism destination through motorcycle tourism initiatives, regional riding events, and strategic collaborations with tourism stakeholders.
Marking its Silver Jubilee this year — 25 years of uniting motorcycle enthusiasts across the state and beyond, SBBA plans to showcase Sabah to riders from across Malaysia and neighbouring countries.
Its President, Datuk Osman Ahmed, said the association presented the plan during a motorcycle club leaders’ meeting at the 24th Borneo Island International Big Bike Festival (BIIBBF) in Kuching, Sarawak, recently.
He said the timing is ideal, with Visit Malaysia Year this year followed by Visit Sabah Year in 2027.
