Four remanded over alleged gang rape of teenage girl in Lahad Datu
LAHAD DATU: Police have detained four men, including a foreigner, over the alleged gang rape of a 14-year-old girl at a village in Jalan Segama.

District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Dzulbaharin said the incident was reported to have occurred at about 2am on May 9 this year.

He said the victim was allegedly assaulted while she was sleeping in a room before a report was lodged after her family became aware of the incident.

Police are investigating the case under Section 375B of the Penal Code, which provides for a jail term of between eight and 30 years and whipping upon conviction.
