Kota Kinabalu: A shop ledge collapsed onto two parked vehicles at a two-storey shophouse in the Kian Yap Industrial Estate early Thursday.

The owner of the affected premises, identified only as Wong, said CCTV footage showed the incident occurred at about 1.50am.

She said it was the second time a similar incident had occurred in the area.

Wong, who has operated a swimming pool construction business at the premises for 20 years, said no one was injured in the incident.

The damaged vehicles were an Isuzu four-wheel-drive and another car, while a similar ledge collapse in the same area in October 2024 damaged three vehicles without causing any injuries.
