Water tank falls off lorry on Lintas flyover
Kota Kinabalu: A plastic water tank fell off a one-tonne lorry onto the Lintas-Kapayan flyover (pic) near the Venetian Club here on Tuesday, with witnesses saying the incident could have caused serious injuries to other road users.

“Luckily the water tank fell to the side instead of the middle of the road, otherwise it could have caused serious injury to other road users,” said a concerned member of the public.

“The driver is reckless and irresponsible for not fastening the tanks properly,” he said.

The incident happened between 1.15pm and 1.20pm.

The lorry was travelling from Lintas in the direction of Hotel No. 5 when one of the plastic water tanks it was carrying came loose and dropped onto the flyover.

Some witnesses said the lorry was carrying two tanks at the time, with one falling off while the lorry continued on its way.
