LABUAN: Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii said AirBorneo should pull up its socks and provide a smooth domestic travel before planning on regional expansion.
He said with issues plaguing the new Sarawak airline which is denting its image, it is evident that the airline is not yet ready for bigger plans and should not be in a hurry for prestige.
“When the Sarawak Government acquired MASWings and renamed it AirBorneo, many had expected it to be a worthy successor,” he said.
“However, various issues have cropped up and undermined public faith in the airline’s ability to provide a reliable service,” said Wong.
