KOTA KINABALU: The state is drafting a 2026–2030 OGSE roadmap to build a sustainable, industry-driven sector through collaboration with Petronas and stakeholders.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the plan focuses on financing access, technical upgrades and matching jobs with local talent to strengthen Sabahan participation.

The state targets 60pc contract ownership for local vendors, with contracts rising from 133 in 2021 to 499 in 2026.
He said Sabah aims to move beyond raw resource extraction by boosting local companies, ensuring more oil and gas value stays within the state through meaningful partnerships and technology transfer.
