DITP Director-General Sunanta Kangyalkulkjj said shifting global trade dynamics are reshaping supply chains and transforming the food industry.
Rising production costs have encouraged businesses to strengthen risk management strategies and diversify sources of raw materials.
“Today’s competitive landscape extends far beyond price. Buyers are placing greater emphasis on quality, safety, standards, credibility, and traceability, while emerging requirements such as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles are becoming essential considerations in international trade,” she said.
Against this backdrop, THAIFEX Anuga Asia 2026 serves as more than a trade exhibition. It is a strategic platform for showcasing the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs, driving export growth, and creating new business opportunities for enterprises of all sizes.
“Over the past three decades, the exhibition has earned strong support from exhibitors and buyers worldwide while continuously evolving alongside the global food industry.
“This year, we are elevating the exhibition by expanding its scale, enhancing its quality, and creating a more distinctive experience in every dimension in line with the theme. Participants will have greater opportunities to build business networks, explore new market opportunities, and expand their global reach,” she added.
The exhibition featured nearly 3,600 exhibitors across more than 6,700 booths representing 56 countries and regions, including participants from Asia, Europe, the United States, Latin America and Africa.
Sunanta highlighted that organisers were expected to welcome more than 90,000 trade visitors from over 130 countries, with projected trade orders exceeding THB 130 billion.
“The strength of THAIFEX Anuga Aisia lies in its role as a comprehensive food and beverage trade platform that brings together products, innovations, and buyers from around the world in one location.
“It creates opportunities for business negotiations, networking, and long-term partnerships, while reinforcing Thailand’s position as a strategic food trade hub for Asia and the global market,” she said.
This year’s exhibition will be the largest in its history, with expanded exhibition space extending to IMPACT Forum Hall 4, bringing the total exhibition area to 140,000 square metres to accommodate a broader range of products and innovations across nine key sectors – Drinks, Fine Food, Food Technology, Frozen Food, Fruits & Vegetables, Meat, Rice, Seafood, and Sweets & Confectionery.
The exhibition will also showcase products and innovations spanning consumer goods, halal food, organic products, health and wellness foods, specialised nutrition, future food solutions, and sustainable food innovations.
One of the industry-focused highlights was the Thai fruit showcase under the concept “THAILAND: The Land of Tropical Fruits,” which presented innovative ways of enjoying Thai fruits in both fresh and processed forms to meet the preferences of modern consumers.
The showcase also featured winners of the Agri-Export Star Pitching Challenge, presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun, highlighting Thailand’s excellence in agricultural product quality, innovation, and value-added product development.
THAIFEX Anuga Asia 2026 continues to provide an unparalleled platform for connecting global buyers and suppliers, driving international trade, and showcasing the future of food and beverage innovation.
